MAAP Launches Peer Support Credential

Many in the field addiction recognize the value of those working with clients with lived experience.  Several years ago, we cheered on Mississippi's DMH for not only recognizing the need, but they also began to train and credential for their agencies.

SAMHSA, has recently released guidelines for Peer Support and IC&RC has responded by building the testing and credential process for this field.  MAAP has adopted the credential and is currently working on the process.

We are searching for those who want to serve the addiction community by bringing Peer Support across the State.  Those working on this committee will be making decisions that will touch lives for generations.
